Why We Chose a Patch

Why We Chose a Patch

Sly Fox comes as a patch. That was a deliberate choice, and people ask about it often enough that it is worth explaining properly.

First, the boring but important part. Sly Fox is filed as a Cosmetic Notification with Health Canada and is sold as a novelty cosmetic product, not a supplement and not a health product. We make no health claims about it. Everything below is about format and design, not about outcomes.

The format itself

An adhesive patch is a simple object. A formulation, an adhesive layer, a backing, and a liner you peel off. Simple in concept, with rather more engineering underneath than most people would guess, because the thing has to stay put for hours on skin that moves, sweats, and gets rubbed against clothing all night.

What appealed to us about the format is mostly practical. It is small. It is quiet. It does not need water, a shaker bottle, a spoon, or a clear stretch of countertop. You can put one on in a hotel bathroom with your bag half packed and someone knocking on the door. And unlike anything you swallow, it does not taste like anything, which matters more than people tend to admit.

How we built ours

We designed Sly Fox as an addition to a pre-party routine rather than a replacement for anything. Apply about an hour before your event, wear it for up to eight hours, take it off when you are done.

Each patch contains a blend that includes Vitamin C, B vitamins, green tea extract, milk thistle extract, and artichoke leaf extract, the sort of ingredients you will recognize from the broader wellness and vitamin patch category.

What we are not saying

We are not going to tell you what a patch does for you, because we are a novelty cosmetic company and that is not ours to claim. If you have a medical condition, a nutrient question, or a specific supplementation need, that is a conversation for a qualified healthcare professional, not a blog post from us.

If you are the sort of person who reads the label before buying anything, we respect that, and we would rather hand you the honest version than another brand's overpromising.

Curious how it works in practice? Read our own story, or browse the pack sizes and see what fits your routine.

Please celebrate responsibly. Sly Fox is a novelty cosmetic product and makes no health claims.

The Fifteen Minutes Before You Leave the House

Ask anyone about a great night out and they will tell you about the night. Ask them what they actually remember six months later and it is just as likely to be the part before it started. Everyone crowded into one bathroom. Somebody's playlist on slightly too loud. Three people offering opinions on one pair of shoes.
